It may seem odd to think that without Bill Gates this world may never have come to the technological advancements that east today. Bill Gates was born October 28, 1955 in Seattle. He and Paul Allen founded Microsoft in 1975. Bill Gates never finished college but went on to become the richest man alive, changing the world through technological innovation and business strategies and helping the less fortunate through charities and donations. Bill Gates did not even finished college but that never stopped him from succeeding. He had become interested in computers at the age of thirteen and it only progressed on from there.. He established his own charity, the William H. Gates Foundation, that was directed towards education, world health, and helping the low-income communities that needed financial help (biography.com editors). His foundation focused on about 15 infectious diseases that, if able to help stop or diminish the disease, could substantially help these communities. He also went on to research why a person from a poor country was so much worse off than a person in a good condition country (Goodell, Jeff). He has donated $37 billion in his life and this number continues to grow as he continues to donate to the needy (Nikolov, Cris). Bill believes that the poor needs more help and that the government should worry more about these people than the issues of who should pay what amount of taxes and other such things (Goodell, Jeff). Bill wants people to know that they too can make a difference even if it is not a colossal change it will still help others. All things considered, Bill Gates has tremendously helped and changed the world by using his knowledge and skills learned over time to make a positive impact on the way humans live everyday and think about the
