Martin Luther King changed America for the better when he helped form different segregation laws. When Martin was still alive, he implemented new segregation laws into the justice system. “Martin Luther King’s best thing he had ever done was add new segregation laws to protects his people.” (Williams, 2) this explains how Martin created new laws that protected the rights of blacks a little more. This speech was at the Lincoln memorial where over 20,000 people came in support and it was filled with all kinds of races; blacks, hispanics, asians, whites, etc. “Martin packed Washington D.C. so full that you could hear the cries and cheers from 15 miles away. During this time, he delivered his famous speech that changed the world forever in a good way.”(Werner, 8) He is providing evidence as to how important and powerful his speech was at this time. Recordings of his speech are still played today to show how far we have came from a segregated country and want to keep it free forever. “...his speech is a reminder to today’s society that we have came so far and don’t want to take a step back in equality” (Williams, 5) These recordings are played for that exact reason.
