Guns Should Not Be Allowed In Schools

Gun, it is one of the most hazardous object or material that any man kind could have ever created. Although law enforcement officers often use it to protect themselves from menacing suspect, gun should not be allowed in school to teachers nor students for any purposes or reasons because it is extremely dangerous. Allowed gun in school to teacher and students especially in a country where violence has become an epidemic could lead into a greater deal of fear to students and teachers just as it is to law enforcement officers in the street. As a survey was taking a few years ago in order to observe what students think about allowing gun to school, many students responded that they do not feel safe in school from gun, and violence. Moreover, they think it would be better for schools to hire more campus officers and securities rather than allowing gun to individuals such as teachers and students (Guns and School Safety Survey Results, 2013). As the Statistics on Gun Deaths & Injuries shows, each year approximately 31,076 people die from gun which lead guns to be the third leading cause of death in the United Stated. With this regard, it is unbelievable and disturbing to see how numbers of politicians believe that allowing individuals to carry gun to school will lower the chance of having a mass shooting like the one that happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. The fact that those politicians need to know is allowing teachers and students to carry gun to school will not lower the chance of having a mass shooting.
