First, teachers would have the ability to stop threats quickly if they are equipped with firearms. In addition, if a shooter knows that teachers pack guns, they would think twice about attacking a school. Teachers should not be able to carry guns on school grounds. To begin, a teacher who owns a gun can cause bigger problems because it won’t be able to keep the children at the school 100% safe. The concealed gun can easily get into anyone’s hand and could easily be fired at anytime. This is not safe because someone can harm another person which would cause major issues. It would be better off if teachers don’t have guns so there are no situations like that.…

This issue is very important because if teachers could carry concealed weapons they could protect the children of that school. The issue of whether or not school teachers should be allowed guns relates to the constitutional principle of individual rights. These teachers should be able to carry concealed guns, with a permit and training, to protect the students and those in the school. But how will the school protect the students if the teachers get out of hand?…

No Guns on Campus For this essay, I will be discussing the merits of allowing teachers to possess hand guns on school campuses around the nation. Recently, in response to school shootings, the National Rifle Association (NRA) has recommended that teachers be allowed to carry hand guns on school premises as a deterrent for school shootings. In this paper, I will provide research, statistics and expert testimony that will counter this claim and support my claim that teachers should not be allowed to carry guns on school premises.
