What should be done to promote food safety in the U.S?

I say that everyone in the world should see what happens when the food is not inspected properly. If people see what’s going on, it will open their eyes and make them crack down. They will make sure their food has been inspected and that can lower the rate of people dying from contaminated food. What I mean by let them see what happens if the food is not inspected is let them see the people that had been affected by it. We can let them know what's going on to help stop this, especially if people are dying from it. In the article “Food Sickens MIllions,” I read about a man named Mr.Beach who died from listeria which could have been prevented if the food was checked properly. Mr. Beach died a day before the health agency alerted the Federal CDC that people were getting listeriosis from food (Armour et al.).

Mr. Beach was one of 35 People that died from listeria. All these deaths could have been prevented if the food was inspected properly (Armour et al.). In the article I read that Jensen’s Farm was never inspected (Armour et al.). They were inspected but not by the FDA. Maybe

This is very sad to say this happened. This should push people to want a change for healthier food. We need to spread the word and do everything that’s possible to change things. People shouldn’t have to live in fear that they might die from contaminated food. It’s important that we stop this while we can. We should want better for our future kids.With promoting food safety these numbers can decrease drastically. This isn’t a guarantee though, even if we start promoting food safety it doesn’t mean everybody is going to listen. That’s why we have to make sure the FDA is doing their jobs.     In July, 2001, a two year old boy named Kevin Kowalcyk died in Colorado after eating a hamburger contaminated with E. coli O157:H7 from the popular fast food chain, Jack In The Box.
