The role of the Church in Europe viewed women more as sin, weak or inferior compared to men. Churches use the bible for the social conduct of society. The people of the church mostly judged the perception of women in the Medieval Times; they mostly believed that women were men “helpmate” (page 41) and subordinate than them due to the fact that men created women. Also they believed that women were automatically sinners when they could not give birth. Churches believed that having sex in marriage was to only procreate, but if you cannot conceive a child something is wrong with you, or god condemned you because you acted immorally. The dichotomy between “women as good”, and “women as evil” is compared to Mary and Eve, Eve tempt Adam into eating the apple of knowledge so the churches believed that all women are evil, unless you followed the word of God and obey your husbands and the Churches rules. I believed that in this current era Churches do think that women should help uplift their husbands and should follow the holy book in order to be a good
