Abstract

As we know, social media sites are growing more and more everyday. Social media sites are a web that allows social interaction with social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and others. The study of social media is showing us the effects of social media sites on children and adolescents. The negative effect is very high compared to the positive effect. Negative effect could be like discovering the identity of a person, health problems could appear, negative impact on users and much more. But some methods are used to prevent these effects and the most important method is the intervention of parents. They should take care of their children. Other methods could be like focus on studies, watch television is better than staying on social media sites and becoming addicted to it.
