I feel districts shouldn’t have the right to control what students read because teachers should be smart enough to make the right decision on which book students read. Instead, the teacher could give the student a different book to read along with any other students whose parents don’t want them to read the other book and for those whose parents don’t mind, they can read the book the teacher originally picked. Districts should not be able to ban books because teachers should be able to make the right decision and kids have the freedom to read what they want.
