Growing up in Southern California many people are familiar with all the popular well known radio stations. Researching recent management crisis and situations as a manager it is very important to make sure your employees are well cared for and paid. In this essay I hope to prove to you that when management doesn't have a relationship with an employee it's bad for business. As in recently a well known Dj host by the name of Big Boy has switched radio stations after spending 21 years as a radio host for Power 106. It however wasn't the smoothest transition, the rivalry between two very prominent radio stations heated up to win over more listeners. While 92.3 already has a more successful broadcasting network they also decided that having the very popular Power 106 host would bring them at an even greater advantage. The Emmis management that discovered one of radios most popular personalities at Power 106, asked a judge for an order prohibiting Big Boy from skipping out on the soon due to expire contract. …show more content…
The business owns radio stations and magazines in the United States and Slovakia, which is why I believe they could of handled the management situation in a more dignified manner being such a widespread prominent brand. Big Boy was making $1.45 million a year which included bonuses and a car .However his contract was up at the end of this month.
