Vandalism or defacement of public property is an ongoing problem and the end is not yet over. The issue of vandalism is not to be underestimated by all levels of society. Vandalism is not only wrong legally, it is one of the negative events that go wrong in the religion of Islam. In the holy Quran, Allah says “But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done good to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters”. (Surah Al-Qasas 28:77). Among the reasons for this phenomenon to happen is the influence of films shown on television and cinema. Teens violent behavior are scenes from films. In addition, adolescents who lack moral and religious education also engage in vandalism. Teens who are not up with adequate parental and religion instruction are easily affected by the urge to vandalism. Furthermore, the feelings of appreciate of the property cannot be instilled in them.

This condition is not only painful to the eyes but to the tourists as well. They will also have the impression that people in this country do not appreciate the importance of public facilities provided. Many phenomena of vandalism have certainly affected the image of the country .The amount of loss due to the acts of vandalism have been great. A lot of financial allocation has been used to replace and refurbish the damaged facilities. It would the allocation is better if used to implement other projects that bring more benefit to the public whole. People lose their right to use the facilities that are guaranteed to comfort give in life, as in the destruction of public telephones. Imagine how people want to use a public phone in an emergency if the facility has been destroyed by these irresponsible
