Essay on Do You Remember How We Met, Dear?
It all began on the first day of high school, the day our friendship began. It was the third class of the day and I had so far failed at meeting anybody new. The teacher had already introduced himself and gone to sit down, leaving us to our own devices for the rest of the class time. I was too disheartened to try and make any new friends, so I pulled it a book and drowned out everyone else. I was in the middle of a riveting chapter when your voice pulled me out of my immersion. "Whatcha reading?", I looked to my right and saw you staring at the book in my hands. That was the first time I ever laid eyes on you. "Um, it 's Cirque du Freak," "What 's it about?" "It 's about vampires..." "Vampires, huh? Isn 't that a girl thing?" "These are different... They 're cooler than those sparkling ones." That was the first time I heard your laugh. "I 'm Nicole," You held out your hand. "I 'm Andrew," I stuck out my hand and shook yours, and that was the first time I felt your touch. "So, do you come here often?"
And I never looked back, from that day forward we were best friends. You had my back and I had yours. The next four years were spent getting into trouble, talking our way out of it, and promptly laughing about it afterwards. They were unforgettable and I wouldn 't trade them for the world.
I wish I could say it was love at first sight, but we both know that wasn 't true. It took me a while…
