It can be easy for workers who have lived or worked in a diversity environment to interact with mutual respect. They are more aware of diversity. They are social-able and may not stereotype because they have been around diversity and may not discriminate. On the other hand, some who have not may find it difficult to interact in a diverse workplace. In such situation, workers would have to learn to understand and value diversity to avoid dysfunctional conflict in a place of work ( Martin, 2014, p. 90). In a workplace, there is a collection of different cultures and ideas. A business that is diverse, the dimension of diversity can impact the company either positive or negatively.

In that environment, there are cultural differences, race, age, gender, mental or psychical disability, attitudes and behavioral difference, that is characterize as the primary dimension. Since communication in a diverse workplace can become a barrier, train workers to learn to communicate with each other. Further, different personalities may cause competition and clashes among workers. The diversity is not easy to manage; that may slow the growth of the business. But on the positive side, it is easy to find employees with creative skills and minds that collaborate, increasing productivity. That kind of diversity can drive innovation and workers personal growth increasing productivity ( Martin, 2014). The business needs an effective human relationship to build up the trust and understanding to work in a diverse workforce (Reece, 2014). A company with equal opportunity has the edge to compete.
