INTRODUCTION
Workforce diversity is defined as similarities and differences among employees in terms of age, cultural background, physical abilities, race, religion, sex etc. The need for a diverse workforce is increasing for the current organisations to thrive and flourish. With an exponential leap happening in many fields like travel, communication, technology diverse set of people are seen to be working in various fields. The trade agreements and free flow of labour between the countries have further accelerated this phenomenon.

The increase in the involvement of workforce ultimately leads to the increase in nation’s human capital and thus results in the economic growth of the country. The article substantiates this claim by stating an example how women’s inclusion in work force has contributed to the increase in GDP of the United States of America.
