I was in a rowboat in a large body of water. It looked like an ocean, but at the same time it didn’t. The sky didn’t look right. It was pinkish and curved. I looked at it awestruck. I tilted my head trying to figure out how it was possible that I was looking at the curvature of the Earth. I turned around inspecting everything, trying to sort it out. I saw the beach and then I saw them.
David and Charlie were standing on the shore smiling and waving. I wasn’t sure why I was here or why they were there. I looked at them again smiling and waving at me, and I smiled and waved back. All of a sudden the wind started to pick up and the water got rough. I got scared. I looked at the water and held onto the sides of the boat. When I looked up at David and Charlie again, they were much further away. I was being pulled out to sea, sucked away from them. I was getting closer to the horizon. The curvature of the Earth was gigantic and looming beyond me. It seemed like it was getting larger and I was getting smaller. I was certain that once I hit it, that I was going to fall off the edge of the Earth and disappear.
I looked for oars, but there were none. I was beginning to panic and then I watched David and Charlie, run and pick up a rope. I gasped with relief, realizing that the boat had a rope attached to it. I could see them on the shore pulling at the rope, hand over fist, to pull me back to them. They were working as a team, and they would get me back safely to where they were. I…
