I have no intention of giving context to the fact that Itachi Uchiha is a robot here so just work with me okay? He's an android.

For Jessi-Mini, Happy Birthday.

E - Year 2680

It hadn't started out as a planned thing, not really. Like all strange things in life, it started small, and escalated into something completely different.

Itachi Uchiha was only thirteen years old when he joined the FBI. He wasn't supposed to do any field work no, he worked in the background, the guy who did all the research and analyzed the samples and things of that nature.

He thought he would always be doing exactly that. However, fate didn't work out that way.

"Mr. Uchiha?" A deep, low voice asked.

"Yes?" Itachi looked up from his computer. The man before him was one of the new ones. A hybrid human and shark creature created by the FBI. His kind were all over the world now. This particular one was tall and wore dark sunglasses, even indoors. Itachi hadn't seen him before. "My name is Kisame Hoshigaki and I need you to come to the field to pick up samples. You may be the only one capable as our usual field worker is offsite and it is an emergency." "Of course." Itachi left his work and walked over to the significantly taller man.

Itachi didn't even reach the man's waist. "Shall we go now?"

"Yes, please come with me."

Looking back, that was probably the moment it all began. Kisame led Itachi to the black car and held the passenger side door open for him.

Itachi slid in with ease and buckled up as Kisame got on the driver's side.

"So what's the case?" Itachi asked.

"It seems there was a murder, but not just any kind, this one is particularly bad as we suspect it may relate to a murder that occurred over thirty years ago."

"Are you suggesting it is a copy cat case?" Itachi asked.

"That would be the guess." Kisame said. "Except this particular case thirty years ago was never publicized. The government covered it up."

"Why?"

"That information is confidential."

"I understand." Itachi said, asking no more. It was part of his job to not ask these questions.

They pulled up relatively quickly to a crime scene with police tape everywhere.

Both of them got out immediately and a police man stopped them.

"FBI, Agent Hoshigaki. This is my partner, Agent Uchiha." Kisame said immediately, pulling out his badge.

The policeman laughed. "Partner? What is it, take your kid to work day?" "Depending on the exact sample I need to collect, time is of the essence." Itachi spoke as if he hadn't heard that conversation before him. "Go on Itachi, you know what to do." Kisame said, then turned his attention to the policeman. "This case is closed off to police investigation as of now, here is the required documentation.." Itachi didn't hear the rest as crossed beneath the yellow police tape and towards the crime scene. A couple were held down by a ceiling fan, having been bled out, with their feet tied to the fan by rope. It was a miracle the fan hadn't broken yet. Itachi's eyes widened and swirled red, taking pictures and a detailed video of the entire thing. Just to be sure, Itachi circled the the area in place three times to capture everything, having saved over three thousand photos of it in his internal storage. He began uploading it to the Uchiha database even as he turned on his layered scanners to take fingerprints and other things of note. "Did you get everything?" Kisame asked, entering the chamber. "Almost." Itachi was on his final scan. "Just a few more seconds. Done." Kisame looked impressed. "You live up to your reputation, Uchiha." "I wasn't aware I had one." Itachi clicked his eyes shut and they returned to their previously dark, midnight color. "Your species- well family- does." Of course. The Uchiha were a well known android species, created for work in the police force. Everyone knew. "Ah." Itachi did not need that to be expanded upon, so he said no more, hands at his side. "I sent the data back to the lab, I believe I can analyze
