One one thousand, Two one thousand. I place my hand on the grass. I size up to the opponent ahead of me. The cheers mute, yet my frantic beating heart pulsates, burgeoning in volume, penetrating my ear drums. Filled with adrenaline and drenched in sweat, I feel the brisk wind linger. I grit my teeth, ready to take action.
Three one thousand, four one thousand. The ball snaps and number 50 is my target. I jump towards him, but he dives down. As he wraps around my leg, my mind wraps around my thoughts. For what I thought was the weight of the world pummeling me, was every player packing on top of me.
Five one thousand, six one thousand. I hear two pops followed by a shrill sound of a whistle. The play is over. Every player gets up. I hear him

I finally feel the sharpness of his words. Sorry man. His fake sincerity would never amount to the rigorous hours of preparation underlying the dedicated hundred of hours I put into playing football. I feel anger towards the player who injured not only my knee, but my future. Immediately, my mind boggles with the possibilities of things I can do. Presently, I stand not only physically strong back on the field, but mentally ingrained with new goals in mind. My knee injury turned my life in abeyance. Nevertheless, I persevered with a fresh clarity and a redefined grit. Likewise, I aim to manifest my experiences into several yielded imperative lessons that reflect the tenacity for success within my passions for law.
Everyone else sees a touchdown, but no one sees the practices. I know the essence of success is contingent upon my readiness to put in the hours necessary to excel. I am devoted to apply myself fully with effervescence. I am ingrained with the capability to think critically, analyzing my consequences and making decisions to make a comeback. Moreover, discipline allows hard work to come to fruition when it counts. I know that my ability to remain disciplined amidst hardships will allow me to thrive in the demanding levels of college and the legal world. One one thousand, two one thousand.
