“Football is like life it requires strength, tranquility, responsibility, and respect for authority.” Said by vince lombardi. The NFL was created on August 20, 1920 and the first football game ever recorded was on November 6, 1869. One might say playing football is easy wrong it requires a whole lot more then tackling, and running with a ball. First thing you need for football is a physical to make sure you are eligible to play. The next thing you need is the equipment which there are four main things you need, which is the helmet, the shoulder pads, knee and thigh pads, and last the mouthpiece, to help protect concussions. The offensive line has to keep the quarterback and the running back safe sometimes the running back blocks for the quarterback so he can pass the ball to the wide receivers or the tight end. The tight end is kind of a special position they block and go out for passes. The defensive line helps open up holes for the linebackers to get through and make a tackle. Cornerbacks have to guard wide receivers and try to make the ball incomplete or intercept the ball. Safeties stay far back and try to intercept or tackle the person with the ball they are the smaller players on the field. There are many famous players but I will only list a few and their stats. Bart starr had 2 superbowl wins which were superbowl 1 and 2 and 24,718 passing yards, tom brady has 61,582 yards and 452 touchdowns. Aaron rodgers is a well known QB “quarterback” he has 36,821 yards, 297 td, and 27 interceptions. The superbowl is the championship game in the NFL. This game is almost like a holiday in america people will find there ways to places with T-Vs to watch this game. This game has a huge halftime show were a singer puts on a huge show. The super bowl also has funny commercials like doritos and pepsi and other food and drinks.
