People can view a perfect life as getting a lot with everyone without having to face harm. We want to get a long and make new friends and just live life in forever happiness but sometimes we have to face reality and realize that this never going to be the case. There comes a time in our lives where we encounter, at a young age, some people who take enjoy in causing mental and physical pain to others. These people are called bullies. Bullying can take many forms such as pushing someone several times until they are hurt, verbal abuse, stealing, etc. However, theres one other form of bullying is just as damaging to a person’s character and mental health as other the other forms of bullying and that is cyberbullying. After the bullying has strikes the victim’s emotions with inappropriate online content or threats. The victim will start to get paranoid and not want to go to school the next day. Professionals in the field of psychology state that the best way to fight bullying, online and offline, is to inform your parent or guardian and the teacher or principal at the school or organization that the victim and bully both attend. Although this is true and very effective, when the paranoia kicks in the victim may think that this cyberbullying may turn into physical bullying if he was to do this and the bully finds out. What I mean by this is that typically bullies in some form threatened the victim with words such as, “If you report this or tell the teacher I will beat you up”, and this can cause the victim to be scared to even leave his or her …show more content…
The most common form that cyberbullies unleash their unhappiness is by “flaming” towards their victims. Cowie defines flaming in her article as, “Electronic transmission of angry or rude messages” (Cowie para 4). Cyberbullying can affect the victim’s happiness because they may feel seriously unsafe even behind closed doors. The victim has worry even at home if someone is playing mental games with them, trying to stock them, or worse even kill them. When the victim feels these threats and this uncomfortable feeling it can make them extremely hostile. When the cyberbully makes the victim feel this way it also could cause the victim to do things he or she would not usually do like consume alcohol and cutting themselves. The victim uses this as a way of dealing with it without seeking professional help and
