A probable cause for this type of bullying is that the bully has a high standing of power within a small group, so whatever he/she says is taken in as believable. This also allows the bully to show off a dominant attitude. This normally causes the victim to experience academic problems, sleep issues, and violent behavior. One way to solve indirect bullying is to allow the victim to see that it is okay to say something. Most kids who are bullied in this form are afraid of saying something because they believe that “snitching” or telling on the bully will just cause more problems for the victim. A reasonable cause to cyberbully could be that some kids see anonymous bullying as a way to become more popular or hurting others makes them seem more powerful. Some startling results that victims experience is depression, low self esteem, being hard to communicate with, and getting a bad reputation. To appeal to adolescents (digital natives), a good solution would be to create an anonymous webpage for people to report being cyberbullied. One of the main questions the web page would contain is the bully’s username and on what site this act occurred. The people controlling the webpage would then promptly bring out the consequences for the person causing the act. Although, most of the solutions to bullying we have now are efficient, my solutions would help stop bullying. Bullying is a serious problem that involves people getting hurt or intimidated. Most students now are afraid of speaking at all thinking it would make more trouble for themselves, but luckily the solutions above would be anonymous and there is no stress.
