I read an article called Creating Socially Fit Heroes and Reducing the Incidence of Bullying in Elementary Physical Education by Jeanne Wenos, Trick, Teri & Jacqueline. The article is about bullying and how it has been a major issue in schools. Bullying is defined as aggression that is purposeful in nature and directed toward and individual with lesser power. Aggression includes everything from teasing, hitting, shoving, kicking and verbal attacks. You can also be bullying someone if you purposefully exclude or ignore an individual. Often time’s children don’t realize when they are bullying someone and if it is not pointed out and talked about then it will turn into a continuous problem at school as well as outside of school.
