Many children and teenagers get bullied in the United States today. Children or teenagers who do not have a good home life or think they are better than everyone else tend to bully other children or teenagers. A person who is considered a bully chooses to target another person that is smaller and weaker than him or her. Also, there are children or teenagers who choose a form of bullying called cyber bullying. A cyber bully uses social media as a tactic to “get into” the smaller, weaker victim’s head to cause emotional and mental distress. A side effect for the victim who is bullied is depression. Many victims of bullying that suffer from depression find themselves in a dark place they feel they cannot get out of, which often results in suicide. Bullying causes depression, from cyber bullying, physical bullying and end up committing suicide. Today, bullying is much different than it was in previous generations. Children and teenagers in this generation are bullied through social media which is known as cyber bullying. Majority of bullies choose to take out his or her anger by attacking a specific person on a social media websites. Since social media has become the main form of contact between people, bullies use it to make fake accounts. The bully uses the fake social media account to attack a person without being identified as the perpetrator. The bully uses tactics such as name calling, slander, and harassment to inflict social and emotional distress…
