Christian Leadership Course Analysis

My perspective on Christian Leadership- After experiencing this course, I have been introduced to a wide variety of potential factors that affect leadership. Based on my Christian beliefs, my leadership philosophy and style would be the approach of shadowing God’s image. He loves each and every one of us with an unconditional love, yet he corrects us when we need correction. I see this to be how a leader should be. In managerial position, never be too soft that employees run over you and fall out of place, but love and respect each one of them, by praises them of their exceptional work ethic and support to the organization. By doing so, each one of your followers will know that they are making a difference and that they are doing a good job. Through Path-Goal Theory, leaders can motivate their followers to accomplish designated goals. Additionally, leaders can help followers along the path to their goals by selecting specific behaviors that are best suited to followers’ needs and to the situation in which followers are working. “When people see or hear ‘leader’, they generally think of interpersonal leaders inspiring and enabling teams.” (Bradt, 2014) As mentioned earlier, the role of …show more content…
The center of servant leadership within the church is “to prepare God’s people for work of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” (Ephesians 4:12) Metaphorically speaking, the body of Christ, being the organization will be built up by the support of a servant leader. God has made Christ “head over all things for the church.” Like God, a leader is head over all things within the organization. Therefore, my mission is to serve others, to give my followers my full attention and guidance. Christ came to give His life.
