CUSB Core Values

Decent Essays
On the job post in the about us section, CUSB talks about business growth and innovation, which matches how I value ambitious. This fits because CUSB wants to continue to grow and enhance their business and they want to continue to innovate and change with the technology around them, and I highly value ambition and working hard on bettering ourselves. Additionally, it says they have a very strong commitment to their customers. This fits with me because in by MBIT survey ISFP “is loyal and committed to their values” (The Myers & Briggs Foundation - MBTI® Basics, 2016) and my second instrumental value is loyalty. One of the responsibilities on the job post is teamwork with co-workers. This fits because in my design preference I prefer to work …show more content…
CUSB dedicates itself to uphold their customers’ trust, because without trust in the banking environment the employees cannot fully do their job and the customer is not completely satisfied. Another of CUSB’s core values is effective problem solvers and my MBIT ISTP “quiet observes until a problem appears, then act quickly to find workable solutions” (The Myers & Briggs Foundation - MBTI® Basics, 2016). CUSB’s final core value is family, and this matches my value of family. As I explained earlier my family is more important to me than a job and the fact that CUSB would put family as one of their core values shows me that they value family just as much as I …show more content…
By preferring predictability I do not want to be doing the exact same thing everyday, but with CUSB I would be dealing with different customers everyday with different needs and problems. CUSB has many rules and procedures that match my want for procedures. While working there I was intimidated by how many rules there were or what would happen if I made a mistake that could not be reversed. On the contrary, I was confortable with the amount of procedures after working there for a while. CUSB’s specialized tasks would take getting some used to because I like to have others opinions and inputs. Although, I would fit with their team structure and one of their core values is efficient team players. I know this piece fits because when I worked there everyone and anyone was willing to help out or lend a hand. Finally, I admire how committed CUSB is to making their employees jobs and environment as positive as possible and how understanding of schedules they

While working for a startup, micro-sized accounting firm founded by my wife’s uncle, I found myself with the responsibility of leading the organization’s payroll service. In such a setting, this duty encompassed virtually all facets of business functions including sales, developing uniform system processes, managing information technology, nurturing client relations, and completing the payroll operations just to name a few. The company at that point grew from a single client having two employees to around 50 clients and a total of approximately 6,000 employees within a single quarter. Such growth paired with the lack of payroll-experienced employees within the organization led to a high stress environment fueled by crunched deadlines and on-the-job learning that usually led to serious error. Our team would find that in order to stay ahead of the deadlines from week to week, we would often need to work 50+ hours each week.…

The first purpose of performance management systems is to help top management achieve strategic business objectives (Aguinis, 2013). This reinforces behaviors that are consistent with the company’s cultures and goals and also plays an important role on the commitment, engagement and loyalty of company employees. Employees whom have clear expectations, can align their values and vision with the company’s, understand what is expected of them and what they earn in return will have higher satisfaction and longevity within an organization. In closing, Meryl Lynch’s approach as Aguinis tells an excellent insight into what employees truly desire. “This is what we expect of you, this is how we are going to help you in your development, and this is how you’ll be judged relative to compensation”.…

Company Overview Verizon Communications is a rather young company compared to most of its competitors. It was created in 2000 in its current form, although its origins can be tracked back to 1984 when AT&T was split up from one large service provider and equipment maker into eight regional companies. With the introduction of consumer wireless communications technology in 1995 and accompanying regulations, companies started to merge and form partnerships. One such merger was between NYNEX and Bell Atlantic. This in turn resulted in the launch of Verizon Communications in 2000 when Bell Atlantic merged with GTE communications and Verizon Wireless, with a deal with French company Vodafone in 2002.…
