Statistics show that a little over fifty percent of Americans exercise for at least thirty minutes, two to three times a week. These exercises can be anything from lifting weights to taking a walk around the block. You may think it is crazy that these people take the time out of their day to take apart in physical activity, but in reality these people are making an amazing life decision. Some of the benefits of exercising on a regular basis include helping you watch your weight, putting you in a better mood, and overall helping you live a longer, healthier life. It’s a known fact that sitting on the couch eating Lean Cuisines and drinking water is not going to help you get any skinnier. Those “get slim quick” schemes are nothing but lies. This is why many Americans, along with eating right, will also exercise on a regular basis to help burn off those unwanted calories. It has been scientifically proven that one of the best ways to burn calories is through cardiovascular exercise. Basically, what cardiovascular exercise does is it gets your heart rate up and keeps it there for an extended amount of time. One reason why cardio workouts help people lose a lot of weight is because they make more than one area of muscles work at one time.
