Being a dancer is not as easy as everyone thinks or as I thought many years ago. I started studying ballet at the age of three, but to study ballet to become a dancer was a hard way. To become a dancer, you must have certain physical aptitudes, you must sacrifice many things and feel a great love for dancing and art in general. Not everyone can become a dancer because they must meet certain physical requirements; the composition and body dimension is defined for the movement of the dancer. Dancers should develop great skills to perform specific movements of the body in general, they should be thin and with a great sense of music. There are some skills that are born, but others such as physical elasticity can be developed. It is said that the dancers must have a tall figure, it is true, but that was never an impediment for me, to become a dancer. While my cousins played every day, I spent long hours training every single day. After spending the day at school doing ballet classes, I came to the house, and my grandfather used to take me to the athletics track; I went back to training, doing long walks around, almost to the point of getting dizzy, and ran for several minutes until I was out of breath. Finally, I did my regular stretches and felt as if everyone around me was staring at me, amazed almost with open mouths, to see how elastic I was, with my skinny little body, almost like a compass when I opened it. In the same way that I could not eat everything I wanted, since I had to follow diets so as not to get fat.
