The Bazerman and Moore six step moduel identifys six steps which are as followed Identify the problem,Identify the criteria,Weighing the criteria,Alternatives,Rate the alternatives and Compute The optimal Decision.The Bazerman and Moore six step moduel helps management to make rational decisions pertaining to business.
My previous job role was that of a Collector , I was laid off 2 months ago. The decision to lay off myself as well as 15 others employers was based on the business needs as per my previous employer explaination. that I am tasked with making sometimes have afforded me the opportunity to reap great results and sometimes they yield answers that I didn’t anticipate and that unfortunately have a detrimental effect on the situation at hand.

Their were employees with senority whose average was worst than the employees that were their 6 months or less. However the general consensus is that the employees with senority have loyalty so why lay them off.

Step 4- Alternatives
The alternatives to the layoff could have been as followed : Furloughs, hiring freeze, pay cuts,or cut other cost.

Step 5- Rate the alternatives Alternatives
I dont believe that the employer rated the alternative if they always choose to do layoffs the same time every year.

Step 6- Compute The optimal Decision
Computing the optimal decision pertaining to a layoff can lead to the following : Other employees may decide to leave due to the lay off and they may feel as if their job is now secured now.
The employees that are left after a layoff may have reduced moral, Thus their performance may decline.

Based on the six steps guide for decision making by Bazerman, the company I had failed to rate the alternatives.Rating the alternatives can probably save the company money as well as time. alternatives.
