Final Exam:

1. The quote, “Classroom management is 90% of the job. The remaining 90% is delivery of instruction,” means to me that good classroom management is needed, but you need to teach the students so they can connect to the science they are learning about. The room should be arranged nicely and clear, specific rules should be in place for the daily routine and housekeeping of the class. As their teacher, I should have high expectations and plan accordingly.
2. A lesson plan needs the following;
a. An aim- This is essential in describing my purpose of teaching a topic. It will be the primary focus and a very critical part because it supports why the lesson is being implemented. In addition, it will help with assessment of the students

Motivation- The motivation is important to me because it will allow the students to be motivated to connect with the objective of the lesson plan. The motivation is a tool to engage my students in learning about the new lessons.
c. Development of the lesson like activities or higher order thinking questions- These are important to help make sure that my students are reaching the objective aim. This helps unfold the aim and the activities will give the student a concrete understanding.
d. Materials of instruction-This part of the lesson plan is important because I will need a list of the materials that will be needed throughout the lesson. If I didn’t add this to lesson, it is likely I could be underprepared when forming the lesson and I am without a specific material.
e. Summary/Application- This part of the lesson will allow me to determine if the objective has been achieved. This is a form a review that the students can present or we can go over as a class.
f. Assignment- This is important because students will have another opportunity to practice what they have learned and gain further understanding of the

The quote, “Be the guide at their side, not the sage on the stage,” means that as teachers we need to be constantly guiding our students in science rather than lecturing them. Creating lessons with hands on lessons that allows them to explore science and not become afraid of science. If we refrain from teaching science, our students will miss out on important skills such as group collaboration and inquiry. We must guide them into more science thinking, rather than ignoring science or teaching it strictly from a book.
5. A science conception that I would make into a fun activity is that all metals are attracted to magnets. I would have my scientists work in groups and each group would have different pieces of metals. The students would use a chart to fill in which metals were attracted to the magnet and which were not. I would then ask the students to write a story together about the different metal pieces, making each piece of metal a different character. In the story the students must implement which metals did not attract to the magnets. The stories could be like a
