I have seen a lot of things occur in my career. The one I see more and more of is cyber activities. When I entered the military I had never touched a computer with any seriousness before. I didn’t know the basis of how to use one, I remember sitting there in the office, and a Lieutenant taught me how to change the screen saver. Now, computers are a part of everyday life; we shop on them, talk on them, bank on them I could go on an on. Computers are woven in every aspect of the government, and the lives of all Americans.
History
There have been several intelligence failures in the past that the Intelligence community have learned form. One of the failures is the attacks that occurred on 11 September 2001. The Federal Bureau of Investigations restructured itself to evolve with the treat, Also, the IC increased significantly after the attack. It is now the largest it has been in years. Millions of dollars have been given for the advancement in technology and intelligence professionals to ensure that an attack of that magnitude does not happen
