In addition to the numerous awards and recognitions, Florida hospital Tampa has also implemented several programs to meet the National Quality Improvement goals that are suggested for accredited health care organization across the United States. Florida achieved significant improvements in the following areas.
 Florida hospital achieved 98% out 547 eligible patients in the area vaccination and immunization of patient requiring vaccination prior to being discharged from the hospital.

Lee Moffitt who was a Florida State representative, and was founded with sole purpose of caring for patients with the diagnosis of cancer. Moffitt Cancer Center specialized in the treatment of variety of cancers that include brain cancer, breast cancer, and cervical cancer, lung and liver cancer and list goes on. Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute is currently accredited by the Joint Commission with an effective date September 21st 2013, and last on-site survey was conducted on May 23rd 2013. Moffitt Cancer Center also holds an advanced program certification in Advance palliative care with effective date of May 24th 2015. Other accreditations held by Moffitt Cancer Center are American College of Surgeons-Commission on Cancer (ACoS-COC), 2015 hospital magnet award (by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI).
