Studying abroad is one of the biggest advantages a college student can experience during his/her college career. While studying abroad, a person can learn valuable lessons and take those experiences home to create and contribute to the society of their homeland. Students all over the United States has taken advantages of this experience and study abroad for a once in a lifetime opportunity. A student might be better off staying elsewhere because the long term effects of a student coming back with more knowledge is beneficial as they use what they have learn, apply and redefined through their works. Although there are disadvantages of studying abroad like cultural differences and expensive fees, it will have developed a smarter and experienced individual in the process. A little amount of time oversea in another country can broaden a student’s mind to help them achieve greater than they could of ever imagine if they stay in one place for a long period of time. In a recent study from an article, “Opinion: Studying Abroad is more complex than often portrayed”. It talks about the bad sides of studying abroad, it also states the benefit of it.
