How does a degree in your program of study enhance your professional and career goals?
Before I address how a degree in nursing will enhance my professional and career goals first let me tell you a little bit about why I chose this profession. I, like many others, am currently pursuing a degree in nursing. However, what motivates me to be a nurse may be a little different. I knew at a very young age that my calling in life was to help others. I had my first job in healthcare at eighteen years old working with the developmentally disabled and I loved it. I chose to become a registered nurse, to make a difference in others lives. Nurses have a set of values that they live by to ensure that all people are treated with dignity and compassion. A
