Consequences Of Abortion

Good Essays
Ever heard of, “Suffer the consequences”? I think that we all certainly have. From the time that were little kids till the time where we reach old age and become more and more dependent on other people. For women this always lingers in their head when they are to make the decision about pregnancy. More like the option of whether to get an abortion. Personally I am biased about the topic, so just for this time I will choose a side. Abortions are done for hundreds of reasons. Some of them being: rape, mental abnormalities, and the fear that the child might suffer. Although no one has the right to end a defenseless child’s life or any life for that matter, if the baby won’t be warmed welcomed then its best to not have it. As a wise man once said, “You can see into the future, and it’s pretty scary”.
Abortion may be the last resort for many woman. Normally abortions cause great pain to the mother, father, and/ or family members of both. It is definitely one of the hardest

Today technology basically shapes and revolves around everything that we do. As oppose to later times, we now have ultrasounds and other technology that help us know the sex of the baby and the how healthy it is. We have tests that can be performed on the fetus while it is still in the mother’s womb, to help determine if the fetus will have any mental abnormalities. Mothers now face again the decision that can change their lives. The reason why a mother might want to have an abortion if the fetus will come out mentally disabled would be because some women do not want their child to suffer. They don’t want them to go through life being rejected by many people in society which just don’t understand what it’s like to be in that state. Other women do it because they are ashamed and this is wrong. I’m not saying that it’s okay to have an abortion but if you do make sure you know what you’re doing and that you’re doing it for the right

Although there are many arguments about how abortion should not be legal, there are also arguments about why abortion should be legal. For example, if a woman is pregnant with a child that will have many disabilities in life and will not be able to live a normal life and struggle throughout it, then they think it is good that the woman can make an abortion. Giving birth to a child that will struggle throughout its life and not be able to live a normal life would be tough, both for the child itself and for the woman. Another argument that is used when debating abortion is that women who get raped should be able to have the right to an abortion. If abortion would be illegal then women who get raped are forced to give birth to the child that they could be pregnant with because of a rape.…

For this reason, it doesn’t take one person to get pregnant, and they should know if they don’t want a child they need to use protection. There are many women who want children but can’t have any and they are very upset know that other women will kill it instead of giving it to someone who desperately want one. If a person has an abortion in a religious family it would be a decreased or dishonor to the family. It’s also upsetting that many couple would blame one another, even though it’s both their fault; just own up to your…

But the most important life in this situation is the living human being and their experiences and goals and that should be protected at all costs. Finally, one may say that the woman should have the child and give it up for adoption to avoid having an abortion and to still give the child a chance at having a good life. This is also not a good point because many children do not have happy and fulfilling lives while going through the foster care system and there are already so many children that do not have parents, it would be morally wrong to force the child into that condition as well. In conclusion, Don Marquis’ position outlined in his essay “Why Abortion is Immoral” is not a good argument because it ignores the life of the woman and disregards the potential results of the living conditions of the child if he or she would be born into a family with…

“In some states, you can be excused from involving a parent without going to a judge if you are the victim of abuse or neglect and you or your doctor report this to the appropriate authorities. If you are facing a medical emergency and require an immediate abortion, most states will not impose their parental involvement requirements.” (PP, 2014). Sometimes having an abortion can be easier but it does not seem right because it leads to emotional issues within the female. A choice varies on the person which it makes more of an opportunity cost. Abortion is a very difficult decision to…

She was looking towards the future for her possible child and her entire family. In all actuality, she did not consent to having the child even through the use of contraception. It is possible that she may have known that she could get pregnant despite contraceptive measures but it still does not guarantee for the fetus to have better rights than the woman. This argument has many strengths because it forces the reader to use their mind to visualize the situations that may make abortion…

There are a lot of factors that go with abortion. Not all women that are pregnant and don’t want the baby get abortions. One reason some women get abortions is because they were rapped and can’t stand the fact that a “ monster baby” is growing inside them. Another reason sometimes is that they can’t afford to take care of the baby. If you can’t afford to take care of it then set it up for adoption so that the baby can have a chance at a good life.…

If the mother dies and the the child dies, then there are two lives that no longer exist. Is two deaths better than one? A third reason that people might have an abortion is because they are scared that the baby will have disabilities. They are responsible for their own actions like are already mentioned earlier when it comes to getting pregnant. It is wrong to take the life of a baby that might have something wrong with it when it is born. They might come out perfectly fine and the doctors just made a mistake. There are so many things to put into consideration when it comes to making abortion illegal. Everybody has different arguments and different views on it and there will always be differences but there has to be a way to make people see that killing is wrong especially if the baby is still in the mother’s stomach.…

Some people say it’s their choice whether they can kill their baby or not but people should choose not to kill an innocent child. Abortion is a very controversial topic these days with many opinions. Personally, I am strongly against the idea of a mother killing their unborn baby. Also, if a person is not financially stable enough to have a child they should take every precaution so that they don't get pregnant. There are also programs for people who are not financially a stable enough to take care of a child so that cannot be used as an excuse.…
