Abortion There are many issues in American today. From drugs, to violence, to many pregnancies. Which leads to abortion. The abortion rate in the United States has gradually increased in the past years because of the abortion laws. Abortion should be illegal in the United States because abortion is murder. It is also not needed and there are many risks to having one. What is abortion? “Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy before birth” (1:14). The ending of a pregnancy before birth is wrong. It is a killing of an unborn baby. To begin with, “Abortion has been practiced and debuted since ancient times” (1:15). This has been around for a really long time. It has always been a choice to get rid of an unborn baby. Ever since then, many thought …show more content…
Many have different reason to why they do, but either way it is wrong and it should not be legal. Throughout the years, the abortion rate has gone up severely. All of the abortions that happen can not just be from health issues or rape. A study shows that many abortions recently are just because the mother is not ready for a baby. “In 2010, more than half of all pregnancies were unintended in 28 states; in the remainder of the states, a minimum of 36% of pregnancies were unintended” (Wind, 1). So most of the abortions in the U.S are just because of unintended pregnancies. Women have to accept their consequences of the actions they took, and not kill a human being because they are not ready. Also raped women will just go through more and have more stress if they have an abortion. It will always be a part of them so there should be no excuse to get rid of a baby. “Abortion should not be permitted for rape because it is wrong for the child to be punished for the sin of the father” (Choice matters, 5). For the young women who want to have an abortion because they are in school or starting their career, they should not have one because later in life they will regret it. They can make it whether they are in school or have a job no matter what. It will be a little tougher, but it will be rewarding in the end when you see your child healthy, with a smile on their face because babies are always happy. Plus, there are always second chances. There is always going ways for you to go to school again, or get another job. What if the women who had an abortion had complications, and when she was ready to have a baby now, she could not? A baby is a

As for condoms, they are not 100% effective and sometimes may break. So even though there are numerous other forms of birth control, not all of them are highly effective and right for every individual. In an article written by Tara Haelle on Forbes.com, Haelle talks about the repercussions of the Texas Omnibus Abortion Bill. After the passing of this bill more than forty-two of the abortion clinics in Texas were closed. This left only ten clinics open and increasing wait times for the women seeking out abortions.…

“Alabama, North Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin passed laws requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges at hospitals. These laws give hospitals veto power over doctors.” (National Women 's Law Center) If more doctors had this power to veto it would lessen the amount of abortions that happen in the United States. As I said before, most abortions happen in the twelfth week not many people actually know how developed a fetus is at this point. By week twelve the baby can wiggle its toes, is beginning to obtain its reflexes, the organs are beginning to work, and the eyes and ears are almost in their correct spots. I do not understand how women can kill an innocent baby because of their own mistakes.…

Many get abortions because the child would only bring bad memories in the nine months ahead or the mother won’t love the child. When it comes to this many people agree that abortion is wanted and best for sexual assault victims. But many people who have been raped are pressured or strongly directed by family members or healthcare to have an abortion. The problem won’t be fix with the baby being terminated, instead it would being more acts of violence and will only make problems worse. Still many women have accepted the child because the child has not done nothing wrong therefore, they don’t have abortions instead they will have and raise the child.…

About 47,000 women die from unsafe abortions in a year and many of these are children and teenagers. Abortion issues have become a bigger and bigger issue with both sides of the argument growing stronger. Pro-Life, Pro-choice, and No-choice are some ways people divided on the abortion-rights movement. In 2016, there were 30 anti-abortion laws passed in 14 states; not only making it harder for women to get an abortion but also increase the amount of unsafe abortions. Even though abortion is the necessary evil in some cases, it is inhumane to let the fetus start developing into a baby before deciding on abortion.…

Most women or girls who have sexual intercourse use contraceptives and still become pregnant due to malfunctions. About 85% of women who resort to abortion are not married, nevertheless, 51% of those women used the contraceptive method when they became pregnant. Moreover, only 8% of women who are sexually active have never used a form of birth control (U.S. Abortion Statistics). The reasons for these women not to keep their unborn child were: the child would interfere with school or work, they would not be able to afford the child, or they did not want to be a single parent (U.S.…

I would counter argue this with, it’s not just your body anymore there’s the life of someone who has yet to live also residing inside of that body. When you take that risk of becoming pregnant, you are accepting all the risks that come with that choice. Abortion should be illegal not only because you are taking a person’s life away and adoption is always an option but also because abortion can cause numerous psychological problems. In my opinion abortion should be illegal because of the psychological damage it can cause when you choose to abort a baby. Abortion is a huge decision to make and those who choose to make it often do not come back from it emotionally unaffected.…

That number is astronomically stupid. If we can 't directly tackle getting abortion to be illegal, then can we at least have a limit to the amount of children a woman is allowed to murder? Nowadays women rely on abortion as a form of contraception, setting the precedent is doesn 't matter what kind of sex they 're having or who they 're having it with because if anything does happen, abortion is there to save the day. If abortion was illegal women would be forced to show responsibilities for their body and their actions. The numbers for safe sex would improve drastically, because of the imminent risk of ACTUALLY having to birth a child, which would benefit our teen pregnancy statistics.…
