Whether people choose to realize it or not, we all have a worldview. A worldview is a way in which we see the world and the people around us. A worldview is like looking through glasses because a person’s worldview clarifies the way, in which they view people and the world around them. A person’s worldview is the foundational element that guides their decision-making. Worldviews are a set of presuppositions that are different from person to person, but are crucial to understand because they provide the basis for our decision-making. As a Christian there are certain elements that should be contained in a Christian worldview. (105)

A Christian worldview starts with the belief that God exists. The existence of God is a core value that a Christian must understand if they claim to see the world from a Christian perspective. Another key element of a Biblical worldview is that God has revealed Himself to mankind. Christ’s birth is one point of evidence that shows God has revealed Himself to the world, but there is also another key point. That other key point is that fact that we have been given the Bible, which should help guide our decisions. From a Biblical worldview, Christians should follow the teachings and principles that are in the Bible because God gave us His word through the Bible. A person who has a Christian worldview should believe that God’s Word is the ultimate authority; and that the Bible was written by common people, but is inspired by God. Another key aspect of…
