The third point that I want to bring up is the 62 mass shootings in the United States between 1982 and 2012, 49 of the shooters used legally obtained guns. Collectively, 143 guns were possessed by the killers with about 75% obtained legally. The process people learn about these acts are through the media portraying it in the way which the media wants you to know. Many times the questions asked of the innocent bystanders are one sided, directed in a certain direction and it doesn’t give the American people the whole story. The gun control laws are not the issue, it is the way we teach people on the ways they are supposed to be used. All the mass shootings have happened in places where the law made it a gun free zone making people not able to carry a concealed weapon even on duty guard or police officer. I know the law is to take gun out of children hands and put them in to professional hands but with this law there is no way that a school guard or teacher can protect themselves and their student with this I makes the teachers put their lives in danger of protecting their students with their bodies so that the students don’t get shot. The last school shooting that happened in Parkland, Florida. Was a horrible thing to happen but if they would have maybe concerned to allow certain teacher that are trained with gun can get training with gun to able to stop this situation from happen. The shooter was free to do anything he wanted because he knew that he didn’t need to worry about some defending themselves with gun. The shooter was allowed to purchase set gun because the background check failed and even people reported this guy to authorities but they did nothing. The gun laws do have some things wrong with them but do you think that stricter gun laws would have prevented this shooting. People can find other ways to purchase gun from people that are of the street or they can get them of the black
