Lamar’s summer is about to begin and with it comes the best bowling games, the opportunity in getting a summer job, and will finally get the girl of his dreams. Not to mention that his bowling idol Bubba Sanders is going to make an appearance at his favorite bowling place to announce the winners of the writing competition and the winners will get a special bowling ball. Will Lamar’s summer be everything that he expected? Lamar is a teenage boy that has lost his mother to cancer. By looking at him you do not see a boy that is depressed or unhappy. If anything, he shows the opposite of any unhappiness or depression.
