A 14-year-old, Ahmed Mohamed, was detained for bringing a “suspicious” device that his engineering teacher believed was a bomb. Ahmed, who attended Dallas high school was handcuffed by the police officers after the school officials accused him of having a bomb. The 14 years old received a lot of positive attention from Mark Zuckerberg and Pres. Obama, including state officials from Texas as a result of the inaccurate accusations. Ahmed has evidently proved his brilliance multiple times by fixing his dad’s car, computers, and also building his own go-cart. The talented and gifted high-schooler has experienced insensitive prejudice from his teacher, whose job should be to support her students, and an educator whom the students should look up to. It is really sad to see how the stereotypes against Islam are setting back intelligent students such as Ahmed. The circumstances, including Ahmed’s ethnic background, has made it probable for the teacher to suspect the alarm clock was a bomb. Pres. Obama and Mark Zuckerberg showed a lot of support to Ahmed, and how what happened to him should not happen again to any other person who are vulnerable to such stereotypical reactions due to ethnic background. Mr. Obama invited Ahmed to the White House for Astronomy Night on Oct. 19, which is an event that is attended by scientists, engineers, astronauts, teachers and students to spend a night stargazing from the South Lawn. I think what has happened with Ahmed is logical, because of…

Research has shown that by studying the budget process in all 50 states, we ended up with a wide variety of requirements. The only similarity that appears through this study was that state governments are primarily only concerned with the first step of informing the public. There is no requirement or mandate beyond this to narrow the gap between government's creation of the budget document and citizen…
