X chromosomes
are sex chromosomes that exist as a matched pair in females and as part of an unmatched pair in males (the other part being a Y chromosome).
Y chromosomes
are sex chromosomes that exist in males as part of an unmatched pair (the other part being an X chromosome).

states that the process of gender differentiation begins at a very young age; as a children develop schemas for other things around them, they also develop a schema for their gender and adjust their behavior to align with it.

are expectations about the way men and women behave
Gender stereotype
is a widely held concept about a person or group of people that is based only on gender
Sexism
consists of prejudice and unfair treatment against men or women based on gender stereotypes
Benevolent sexism
is acceptance of positive stereotypes or favorable biased behavior that propagates unfairness and inequalities based on gender.
Male answer syndrome
is a phenomenon in which males are more likely than females to guess at answers to difficult questions rather than reveal their uncertainty.
Sexual orientation
describes enduring sexual attraction toward members of our own sex, the other sex, or both.
