“What are you looking for in a new position?” |
I really enjoy being a collaborator with different enterprises to help them reach a goal. I noticed in the job description that interfacing with different businesses to learn their needs and solve their problems is a main responsibility of this job. I also value being in a collaborative start-up environment. |
|
“Why did you leave your last job?” |
I really enjoyed my time with WebBank. Unfortunately their revenue model is entirely dependent on consumer loan originations. Their revenue took a 75% drop overnight when covid hit. The restructuring affected my position at the bank |
|
“How has your job search gone so far?” |
It’s gone well so far. I’m still relatively early in the process but I’ve had a few good phone conversations with companies that have indicated they’d like to move into the next steps with me. I don’t have any expected offers yet but that could change next week. I can keep you updated. |
|
“What other types of jobs have you been applying for?” |
I've been applying for other customer success and account manager jobs. Mostly in the tech startup space. I really enjoy consulting with other companies on how to achieve success. This is what I have done at both WebBank and Cricket. I'm excited to bring the skills that I've learned into this industry. |
|
“What other companies are you interviewing with?” |
“I’m speaking with a couple of technology startups like yours that are looking to grow their enterprise customer success teams. I’d like to keep the company names confidential. I would do the same for your organization if another company asked me who I was speaking with.” |
|
“Why are you looking for a new job?” |
My last company laid me off when they went through a large downsizing Due to Covid-19. I’m actively looking for jobs and I’m hoping to find a company that can use my client management experience in a high-tech environment. I’ve read a lot about the state-of-the are collaborative charting tools that you use. I'm excited to learn these solutions, and champion them for your clients. |
|
“What is one thing you're looking to either have or not have in your next position?” |
“I enjoy collaboration. It’s very important for me to be able to share ideas and cooperate with a team in my next role. I’m comfortable and able to work independently, but I find work more fulfilling when I’m given a chance to collaborate with other colleagues and even other departments in an organization. So I’d love to find an environment that encourages teamwork and communication.” |

“Talk about a time you had to work closely with someone whose personality was very different from yours” |
While working as a Strategic Partner Program Analyst, I was responsible for organizing monthly reporting and contractual obligations for our partners. One of our ops manager was a little accusatory and negative about deadlines. I kept detailed reminders on my calendar to get documents to her, a week before they were actually due. This shaped her perception of me as being reliable and on her side. Over time, I became her favorite analyst. |
