Why is the programming component vital to the duties of a Resident Assistant?
The programing component is vital because it develops a sense of leadership for the RA and community for the residents. The residents have the ability to learn information that is important for their adult life as well as their matriculation in college. It is hard coming into college with one’s support system being so far away. It is also hard to find where one fits in. With the programs, RAs help students to understand life here at Xavier and in the real world. It gives students the ability to realise themselves.
