Animals that live in this lifestyle are prone to the fast spreading of disease. They can get diseases from cuts of their cages. When this occurs they are given antibiotics so the disease does not spread and the infection does not get worse. Antibiotics can cause animals to get fatter. The bacteria are so strong the antibiotics do not work. This is bad especially when the meat goes for sale on the market.
Taking off the beak of a chicken is called deabeaking. When they take off the beak it is done without anesthesia. Their beaks are inserted into a machine that chops off the front part of their beaks. After this cruel act is done some chickens do not want to eat that causes starvation because it is so painful to cope with. Pigs have their tails cut off, or are too short. This is to prevent the acts of pigs biting each other’s tails off. This procedure is also done without anesthesia. Both of these practices are very painful and cruel and should be punished for doing such a c rime.
