Employing workplace diversity requires an on-going commitment from organizational leaders to bring forth cultural change. Leaders and managers are primarily responsible within organizational settings for the success of diversity guidelines, because they must ensure that procedures are effective and enforced (Green, 2002). Efforts to implement workplace diversity should be management driven from upper management all the way to lower level management in such a way that behavior rather than attitudes is changed. The primary objective of workplace diversities being managed is to fashion a company culture that recognizes, respects, and encourages individual differences. For example, as an organizational leader, I would provide efficient diversity training and education for employees. Creating a diversity training program for employees would sensitize all personnel to the need to value dissimilarities and fashion a more efficiently operational, and cordial atmosphere for the organizations diverse workforce (Brown, 2016). In addition, I would implement encouraging open communication policy and teamwork across work functions. Within the realms of creating a diverse educational program for my employees, I would implement skill building training to assist personnel to comprehend the necessity for valuing diversity. However, providing skill building and development activities is essential for diverse employees to do their job and have the opportunity for progression (Wentling, 2013). In today global marketplace, a different organization has its own culture shaped by the individuals who founded it and staff it.
