Western modern day culture for women, particularly women born in United States (US), experience major differences in life, liberty and freedom compared to women born and raised in foreign countries; such as China, Nigeria and India to name a few. This paper is written to help readers understand and to educate the existence of vast cultural differences among foreign women in context of seeking justice. Despite cultural norms, various educational backgrounds, and economic consequences, violence against women is now globally unacceptable (Pierotti, 2013). The untold truth in cultures where violence against women is present, upholding honor within the cultural is dominant. Ironically, to dishonor cultural norms would in fact; lead to family conflicts and violence (Fernbrant, Essèn, Östergren & Cantor-Graae, 2013).
Furthermore, women who migrate to another country, such as the United States (US) to escape intolerable treatment, face further obstacles.
