For example, a HR Manager can take the time to establish network connections with local universities and colleges to hire graduates or to do on the job training. A person who is not trained in Human Resources may not have the education or training to do a proper hiring process, which in turn could hurt the company whether it be in legal cases, or not hiring the correct people for the positions required. (Schwind, 2016) A good example of how HR can impact recruitment, Josh Bersin a LinkedIn Influencer points out a case where an insurance company was seeing a large amount of employee turnover. The HR department formulated a new compensation structure, rebranded their employment values and in Bersin’s opinion has one of the most talented teams he has seen, as well the company’s stock is now trading at 3 times the rate it was before HR stepped in (Bersin, 2013). Job Training Hammond states in his article that 58% of employees find job training favorable which to me points that it is a good thing (Hammonds, 2005). Manager. CEO’s do not have the time, or expertise to sit down and handle all the issues that come with having employees. There are companies out there that you can hire to farm out your human resource functions, but they do not know your company, your vision. Human Resources is not becoming obsolete as Hammonds suggests, in fact I believe the exact opposite. The world is an ever-changing place, always growing in amazing ways.
