New Harvest is a coffee roasting company that was founded in 2000 by Rik Kleinfeldt and Paula Anderson. To continue to stay successful this company has to follow the factors of production. Factors of production deal with four basic inputs such as natural resources, capital, human resources, and entrepreneurship. Natural resources is all production inputs that are useful in their natural state. Since New Harvest is trying to provide the best coffee, they should use ingredients in their natural state. For some of their blends they actually travel to other countries to test coffees and if they like it they get the coffee imported and serve it to their customers. Capital is the technology, tools, information, and physical facilities that a company uses. In this case, New Harvest uses equipment everyday to make their coffee beans. They have to make sure all the equipment is working and up to date. Also new technology or equipment can make new recipes or products or help improve old ones. Human resource is anyone who works for the company. Hiring the right people is very important. One should be hired because of their skill and experience. …show more content…
Some consumers might not care so much about the environment so they wouldn’t be as interested in a greener product. Other consumers are all about a greener and healthier lifestyle. With these consumers they might also look at the price of greener products. If one coffee product is a green product and is cheaper they might go with that product. Overall everyone just wants a good product. A lot of people today are changing their lifestyles and are going green. Most companies are doing the same and are coming out with greener alternatives. I think every company should have a green product to help them be more successful. Since New Harvest is all about environmental sustainability and good quality coffee, they will remain a successful
