Can be used to treat Glaucoma Medical marijuana is promoted for many diseases, such as glaucoma. Glaucoma is an eye condition in which the optic nerve becomes damaged with time. There are times where it can lead to blindness. Medical marijuana can lower your Intraocular Pressure (IOP) in people with glaucoma. There are people that need it when they have serious health problems. It also decreases the symptoms of a severe disorder called Dravet’s Syndrome. Dravet’s Syndrome causes severe developmental delays and seizures. Doctors who recommend this treatment say that the cannabidiol in the plant interferes with the brain cells to calm down the these seizures. Patients who have been using it say it has helped tremendously and has been working for them.

In 2013, he apologized for that article and changed his mind on marijuana.
