You should strive to make your life as fulfilling and successful as possible. You don 't realize how important it is to live a fulfill life until its all over. It will give you something to look back and be happy that you live a life you would never trade. One of the most important things I value in life is my family. People have to realize that family will always be by your side even when you are at your worst. Your friends will come and go but family will always stay. I really value my mom because she is the only parent I have left. My dad died a year and a half ago to cancer. It was a real life changer to live a life without having that one person that has been with since I was born. It really made me realize how much family does have an affect on your life. Makes me grateful for everything I had. I think about all the people that have parents that have either passed away, or are alcoholics, or even work 24/7. Even though friends can come and go you always have those select few that will always be with you. Friends will be the people that you make the most memories with through out your life. Drake once said in a song “You only live once, thats the motto”(Rap Genius). I believe in this quote because you really do only live once so you need to go out and have fun with the people that make you happy. If you think back to all of your fun and special memories, over half of them will involve your friends in some way. Not only do you make memories with friends, but they will help you if you need to talk or are going through a hard time. When my dad pasted away my friends were a great support keeping me busy and getting my mind off everything. They really do have a big impact on your

But, that doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t pursue your “purpose” or what you love and still be successful. In fact, many people find true happiness by making family, friends and strangers happy. Such is much more possible and easier to do when your successful and aren’t worrying about financial burdens. I think it’s best to do what you love and be at least mildly successful in order to live comfortably. If you live too radically on either side I think that is what causes misery.…

The saying ¨Thatś what friends are for¨ is somewhat true because you need your friend when it comes to life. A quote from the textbook this week I have selected is: Values are the deeply held convictions that influence your thinking when you are faced with choices. (Sukiennik 37)I choose this quote because, I believe that people deal with this on a daily bases. Like advertising, its set up by a corporation and their values to influence the person to buy their product. For example a beauty product can alter a person's opinion about themselves give the people a choice over a cheap imitation product or a product that will last but more expensive. But in reality it all depends on a person values on their decision on making that choice whether they want to buy an expensive product that may cost them 50 dollars or buy cheap imitation that will cost 10 dollars but, doesn't last that long.…

Moving away from everything you have ever known sounds like a very daunting task. It seems even more insane to move the summer before your senior year. Even though it was scary, moving 5 hours away my senior year taught me many important lessons. Just like Beowulf showing courage in his battles, I was courageous and started my whole life over. The giant move I made taught me that friends are not always true, happiness is self-caused, and life is too short to stay somewhere for familiarity.…

Last week in the discussion, I felt blown away by the different point of views on different situations with money. This discussion genuinely opened my eyes since I never looked at the world in a dissecting, and realistic way especially towards money. However, when I was asked what would I take a $30,000 job and be satisfied, or a $60,000 job and be miserable.…
