Values: The Deeply Held Convictions That Influence My Personal Decisions

A quote from the textbook this week I have selected is: Values are the deeply held convictions that influence your thinking when you are faced with choices. (Sukiennik 37)I choose this quote because, I believe that people deal with this on a daily bases. Like advertising, its set up by a corporation and their values to influence the person to buy their product. For example a beauty product can alter a person's opinion about themselves give the people a choice over a cheap imitation product or a product that will last but more expensive. But in reality it all depends on a person values on their decision on making that choice whether they want to buy an expensive product that may cost them 50 dollars or buy cheap imitation that will cost 10 dollars but, doesn't last that long. This has been a dream goal to go to college and get a education in a computer degree but it can be challenging dream. We all have to endure sacrifices to achieve a goal. I didn't mind at one point working as many hours as possible at my job but now in order for me to achieve my goal have to cut back to balance school and work. I know money is very important but so is school. I figured out that this job will never pay me what I would make with my educational degree. I am motivated to achieve a successful career but what ever bumps in the road my on cover I will take it head
