What Is Papa John's Business Strategy

The third largest pizza chain in America is Papa John. The company has continued to grow over the years to more than 600 company-owned and total more than 3,500 pizzerias. Papa John founded the company in 1985 and has used the same business strategy since he became CEO of the company (Parnell, 2014). Papa John has a very distinctive plan and that is to provide the customer with only fresh ingredients and having the company focus on giving the customer only fresh ingredients. Papa John also offered very limited side items. Another key strategy element that he used was focusing on quality and only providing a limited amount of non-pizza items (Parnell, 2014). Papa John has received many awards as a pizza company, but the one that stands out with the company the most is that they received the top customer satisfaction rating (Parnell, 2014). The rating provided the general public with a new way to look at the company to show that they were number one national fast food restaurant chains, during 1999-2994 (Parnell, 2014). Papa John has also become a self-distributed company, which is very important for Papa John. He also has developed a plan to deploy Buffalo Chicken Pizza in the northeast and northwest to satisfy the customer (Brandau, 2013). …show more content…
