Did you know that the U.S. leads the highest in obesity and unhealthy lifestyle? (Revolution) Less than three percent of Americans meet the basic qualifications for a “healthy lifestyle” (Beck). As living an unhealthy lifestyle, many will have worse health issues in the near future. For a great start to make this change, everyone should eat healthier foods instead of unhealthy foods to become a healthy individual.
Many reasons, there are many unhealthy people is because healthy food is pricey and have unhealthy choices such as eating at fast food restaurants. “Exercising about three to four times per week is a great place to start… and you will see the benefits. You’ll notice increased energy levels and our body will begin to adapt” (Boutique). Even exercising for only an hour can help as well. Before working out, it is best to stretch to help our muscles prepare for any physical activity. Many other ways of staying physically fit is also by doing yoga, box, run or jog, dance, etc. We can also challenge our self by either going longer in our workouts or going in extra mile whenever you run. We can also do something we love such as our hobbies and try incorporating movement. We can also go out of our comfort zone and do something adventurous such as skydiving, rock climbing, or hiking. Fast food may be cheap and quick, but it is not good for our body. Most of the food served at fast food restaurants is not one hundred percent real and have chemicals that are bad for our bodies. (Pientrangelo and Carey) It would be easier and cheaper making our food and we would know what is being put in our bodies. If eating out, chose the healthier options. There are no excuses to not be able to go to the gym. We can either walk or run at the park and instead of taking the elevators take the stairs. Working out for an hour a day can still help maintain a healthy lifestyle because something is still better than nothing. Everyone has their ups and downs but always being negative can affect others and our self. Being negative is never always good for the mind because it can lead to mental health issues. Try by relaxing and find a positive in every negative. (Esile) Just laugh and smile often and become more open minded to feel good about
